What we are reading this June 2020
In my opinion, this is the best time of year to curl up with a book and get to reading. Lay a blanket on the lawn, enjoy the late Spring weather and read, read, read. Here is what we are reading this June.
Olivia (Age 7):
My first grader is loving this chapter book. Owl Diaries is a Branches series from Scholastic which means it’s made just for her. It’s perfect for helping her grow her independence as a reader.

Evette (Age 5):
Beauty and the Beast
My little princess cannot get enough Belle these days. We picked up this book for her on our recent trip to Disney World. It’s a Golden Book, but it’s big! It’s a wonderful telling of the Disney film.

Sonny (Age 3 months):
Apples to Zeppelin
This was a fun gift from Sonny’s cousins. He loves hearing our voices read to him and the bright pictures on the page. It’s so important to read with our little ones. He’s already started mimicking the sounds that we make, especially oo’s and oh’s.
Oh, and when I get time:
Winter in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand
A friend of mine recently suggested I check out this author when I mentioned that I was looking for a good series. I’m about halfway through this book and I am loving it!

Bonus:
The 3 Minute Gratitude Journal for Kids
I thought this gratitude journal would be a great introduction to journaling for my girls and is it ever! In times like these, it is especially important to reflect on what we are grateful for. I was so excited to find this journal and children will have no trouble finding meaning in it as well.
That’s what we’re reading this month. For more recommendations, I have a variety of book posts for the whole family here or find me on Goodreads.
